On March 3, according to Tien Phong newspaper reporters, units are constructing an overpass over National Highway 13 under construction package 3 of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project.

This section is implemented by a joint venture of Dai Phong Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company, Truong Son Construction Corporation, and Construction Corporation No. 1.

After more than 1 year of construction, the Highway 13 overpass project has nearly completed the bored piles. Currently, the construction unit is deploying the main span cantilever and implementing the construction of the pier base, pier body and girder support at the remaining positions.

The compensation for site clearance for the overpass over National Highway 13 is part of component project 6 (compensation, support and resettlement) with a total investment of VND 13,527 billion of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project. The total area of ​​recovered land is more than 78 hectares with 1,511 affected cases.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, passing through Binh Duong province, has a total investment of over 19,200 billion VND. The project has a scale of 8 expressway lanes, parallel roads on both sides and corridors for green trees and technical infrastructure works. The total construction investment of the project is 5,752 billion VND.

Regarding construction progress, a representative of the Binh Duong Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the construction units have basically ensured compliance with the signed contract.

According to the plan, by December 2025, about 80% of the project volume and the main expressway route will be basically completed. Of which, 100% of the XL2 package (Binh Chuan intersection) and XL4 (Binh Goi bridge) will be completed; 75% of the XL1 package (Tan Van intersection) and 75% of the XL3 package (section from Binh Chuan to Saigon river).

According to the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Binh Duong province, the current situation of intermittent site handover, difficulties in sourcing sand for embankment materials... are affecting the project's construction progress.

The Binh Duong Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that in response to the 500-day-and-night plan to complete the target of 3,000 km of expressway by 2025, Binh Duong province is striving to speed up progress, completing the section from My Phuoc Tan Van to National Highway 13 and the intersection overpasses, and striving to open the entire route by June 2026.

During a recent site inspection, Binh Duong Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi asked the contractor to work urgently, working in "three shifts" to ensure project progress.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project passing through Binh Duong province has 3 overpasses (yellow circles) including: My Phuoc Tan Van intersection, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai intersection and National Highway 13.
