The Northern Delta and Midland Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that from now until September 28, the main weather in Hanoi will be sunny during the day and rain at night in some places. From September 29 to October 3, Hanoi will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Due to the lack of rain in the past few days, the water levels of the rivers have been gradually receding, most of them are below flood alert level 1. However, the water levels of the Bui and Tich rivers are still above flood alert level 3.

In the coming hours, floods on the rivers: Tich, Bui, Day continue to recede but at a very slow speed. With the current drainage speed, low-lying areas, along the Bui River in Chuong My, My Duc districts will be flooded for the next 3-5 days; areas along the Tich River in Thach That, Quoc Oai districts will be flooded for 2-4 days.

Statistics from the Hanoi Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue show that thousands of local residents still have to evacuate to avoid flooding. The largest number is in Chuong My district with about 8,500 people.
