On the afternoon of October 13, at the Academy of Finance (Dong Ngac, Hanoi), the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front coordinated with the Academy of Finance to organize the National Workshop "Promoting the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in private economic development."

The workshop is an important starting event in a series of programs and activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to concretize Resolution 68 of the Politburo on "Private economic development" in the coming time.

In her opening speech at the workshop, Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, emphasized that 2025 is of special importance to the country. This is the final year of implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan (2021-2025), a year of acceleration, breakthrough, and reaching the finish line.

Vice President Ha Thi Nga hopes that the Workshop will promote the intellectual contributions of experts, scientists, management leaders, and entrepreneurs, through scientific research activities to continue to consolidate and deepen both theory and practice; the position, role, tasks, and solutions to promote the strength of people's solidarity, the role and responsibility of the Fatherland Front and people's organizations in developing the private economy.

At the workshop, delegates discussed the position, role and essential importance of the private economic sector in the socio-economic development of Vietnam. From there, solutions were proposed focusing on clearly defining the role and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations in promoting the development of the private economic sector.

Important activities include strengthening propaganda, advocacy, supervision, social criticism, and participating in building mechanisms and policies for private economic development. At the same time, it is necessary to strongly promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, digital transformation, social responsibility and sustainable development for the private sector.

The ultimate goal is to promptly reflect the realities, difficulties and problems of businesses and associations to propose solutions in line with the spirit of Resolution 68-NQ/TW.

In 2025, the Government set a GDP growth target of 8.3-8.5%, to create a solid foundation for achieving double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period. To achieve this target, total social investment capital in the coming time needs at least 174 billion USD, and the growth rate of the business sector must increase by at least double digits, higher than the overall growth rate of the economy.

“This is an extremely difficult task that requires each level, each sector, each organization, each individual to change their thinking, awareness, vision, and need to take action, more decisively, substantially and effectively, to turn those goals into reality,” Vice President Ha Thi Nga stated./.
