Central region begins heavy rains

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from today (November 25) to tomorrow evening, the weather in the area from Thua Thien Hue to Binh Dinh will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 150-250mm, with some places experiencing rainfall of over 400mm.

At the same time, Quang Tri, Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa areas have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places have very heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall of 70-150mm, some places have over 200mm. Particularly, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and the East of the Central Highlands have rain with lower rainfall of 30-50mm, some places have over 70mm.

In addition, today, in the Southern region, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-20mm, in some places over 70mm (storms are concentrated in the late afternoon and at night).

The meteorological agency warned that from the night of November 26 to the morning of November 27, the area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, locally very heavy rain with rainfall of 40-70mm, in some places over 150mm. In the East of the Central Highlands, rainfall will be 20-40mm, in some places over 70mm.

Impact of heavy rain requires precautions against the risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding of rice fields and crops in low-lying areas; beware of heavy rain in a short period causing flooding in urban areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Meanwhile, in the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An , today there will be rain in some places, fog in some places in the early morning, sunny in the afternoon. Cold in the morning and at night.
