Reopening the tour of Dr. Yersin's house by open-top bus

On July 16, West Pacific Investment and Tourism Joint Stock Company (West Pacific Company) announced that it will reopen the tour to visit Dr. Yersin's house on the top of Hon Ba by open-top bus from July 19.

The above company has been operating the tour since June 2024, however, on the route to the top of Hon Ba, there is a section of road that has been seriously damaged, not ensuring traffic conditions for passenger transport vehicles, so the company has temporarily stopped operating.

Previously, implementing the policy of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on developing eco-tourism associated with heritage conservation, West Pacific Company coordinated with the Management Board of Hon Ba Nature Reserve to invest in infrastructure repair, planting flowers and ornamental plants to exploit tours to visit Dr. Yersin's house on the top of Hon Ba.

Up to now, the repair and renovation of the road to the top of Hon Ba has been completed, ensuring safety for vehicles and convenience for transporting tourists.

Mr. Nguyen Phi Hong Nguyen - Vice President of the Travel Association (Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association) - said that from August 1, the Travel Association will also reopen the tour Following the footsteps of Doctor Yersin, visiting places associated with him, reviewing the milestones and contributions of this doctor.

Doctor A. Yersin's working house on top of Hon Ba was built around 1914 and was recognized as a national monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in March 2023.

The wooden house at an altitude of 1,578m, with two floors and a solid water tank, was used by Mr. Yersin as a place to live while working and researching on the top of Hon Ba.
