The 207 million yen price for a bluefin tuna was the second highest since 1999 when records began, behind only the record 333.6 million yen at the 2019 auction, and more than double the 114.24 million yen price last year.

According to estimates, this tuna costs about 750,000 yen/kg and when converted into sushi, each piece will cost about 30,000 yen (about 190 USD).
