Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang inspected and directed the removal of difficulties in the Vinh Hung Market Bypass Project.

On the morning of October 1, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang inspected the construction progress and worked with relevant units to handle difficulties and obstacles in site clearance for the project to build a road to avoid Vinh Hung market, in Chau Thoi commune.

The project to build a bypass road to Vinh Hung market has a length of 2.358 km, a road width of 5.5 m; the starting point connects to provincial road DT.978 at Km12+300, the end point connects to Vinh Hung overpass intersection, invested by Vinh Loi Area Project Management Board.

The project has a total investment of 119 billion VND. Up to now, 118 billion VND has been allocated, 78.3 billion VND has been disbursed, and nearly 40 billion VND has been allocated but not yet disbursed.

Currently, the project has completed sand filling of the roadbed with a length of about 1.9km, spreading crushed stone for about 1km and 1 culvert; the contractor is speeding up the construction progress of the remaining items.

Reporting at the meeting, the investor representative informed: Currently, the project is facing difficulties because there are still 8 households that have not agreed with the site clearance plan, although the units and local authorities have actively coordinated to propagate, mobilize and explain. In addition, the scarcity of construction materials and high prices have also affected the construction progress of the project.

At the meeting, representatives of the units exchanged, discussed and proposed specific solutions to remove difficulties for each case that is still stuck in the site clearance work; at the same time, requested the Commune People's Committee to strengthen coordination in propaganda and mobilize people to comply with the State's land recovery policy, and promptly hand over the site to the construction unit.

Through the actual inspection of the project implementation and listening to reports from relevant units, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang requested the People's Committee of Chau Thoi commune, together with the provincial departments, branches, relevant units and investors to actively coordinate to review and unify the settlement of compensation and support policies in the highest and most beneficial direction for households, ensuring proper authority and regulations; proactively develop a strict construction protection plan to be implemented immediately in case all policies have been resolved according to regulations but have not yet received the people's consent.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang requested the investor to request the construction unit to start construction work as soon as the site is available to speed up the project progress; at the same time, assign the Department of Finance and relevant departments and branches to synthesize, report, and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to consider and handle the recommendations of the investor and the Commune People's Committee, creating conditions for the units to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
