Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has just announced the results of the handling of the case of candidate Au Nhat Huy, 24 years old, who was admitted to the school's doctoral training program, causing a stir in recent days.
Accordingly, this candidate's total admission score was reduced from 88.8 points to 88.3 points.
Initially, based on the 8 articles the candidate submitted, the total converted score for candidate Au Nhat Huy's research experience was 11 points. However, the maximum score for the research experience section was only 10 points, the candidate's average total score was 88.8 points.

However, the main author of an international article (among the total articles submitted by candidate Au Nhat Huy to calculate the score for the doctoral entrance exam to Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine) withdrew the published article.
Therefore, the conversion score for the candidate's research experience with 7 articles of Au Nhat Huy is 9.5 points. The Admissions Council unanimously reduced the candidate's average total score from 88.8 points to 88.3 points.
With this score, it does not affect the results of the doctoral entrance exam of candidate Au Nhat Huy.
A representative of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine informed that if any issues related to scientific integrity of the school's collectives and individuals are discovered, the school will continue to verify and handle them according to regulations.
As Dan Tri reported, in the list of 25 candidates admitted to the doctoral program at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine this year, Nhat Huy achieved a score of 88.8, the second highest score among those admitted.
Candidate Au Nhat Huy is the son of Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Khanh Tuong, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Internal Medicine Department of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine. Many of the above scientific articles of this candidate are jointly under the name of his mother.
A representative of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine confirmed that candidate Au Nhat Huy meets all the requirements for admission to doctoral training at the school according to regulations.
This candidate's mother, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Khanh Tuong, did not participate in any stage of the school's graduate admissions this year.
Au Nhat Huy has just graduated with honors in medicine after 6 years of studying in Ho Chi Minh City. Huy has a GPA of 3.8/4.0; TOEIC certificate of 940/990.
