Renewable energy promotes green, circular economic development

The Department of Industry and Trade has just planned to organize a workshop "Renewable energy in the Mekong Delta - New breakthrough in developing green economy and circular economy".

To comprehensively assess the potential and current status of renewable energy development in the Mekong Delta region and Vinh Long province in the Power Plan VIII and adjusted Power Plan VIII; highlight the role of renewable energy sources in the development of green economy and circular economy.

The workshop is expected to have many presentations from experts from ministries, central branches, associations, energy enterprises, etc. In addition to the contents on solutions to accelerate the progress of deploying renewable energy sources, assessing the capacity of the transmission and distribution grid. The workshop is scheduled to take place in October 2025.
