NEDI3 summarizes production and business activities in 2023

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Van Phuong - Director of NEDI3 reported on the activities in 2023 and the implementation of the plan for 2024. He said: In 2023, the enterprise will balance the source of debt repayment to contractors of the Nam Dong III Hydropower Project and overcome the damage caused by natural disasters at the Nam Dong III Hydropower Plant in 2017 of VND 1,179,000,000. At the same time, complete the bidding packages in the category of Overhaul of equipment of the Nam Dong III Hydropower Plant ( Yen Bai ).

Along with that, NEDI3 has contacted the consulting unit to complete the procedures for registering for the issuance of I-REC renewable certificates and selling annual emission reduction output (CDM). Currently, the consulting unit is completing the procedures for issuing the certificate, and is expected to start selling emission reduction output for the Nam Dong III hydropower project in the first quarter of 2024.

Regarding financial work, NEDI3 said it has ensured a balanced capital source to serve production and business tasks well according to plan, and timely and quick payments create conditions for contractors and suppliers to have capital for construction.

Regarding labor and salary, NEDI3 said that it always fully implements the work of deducting social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for all employees, and implementing the work of deducting union fees. At the same time, it ensures the regimes for employees in accordance with the regulations of the State and the Corporation.

The goal for 2024, NEDI3 said will use costs economically, reasonably and effectively. Maximize profits but still ensure enough costs for production and business activities, repair activities to ensure stability in factory operations and will strive to achieve profits according to the plan.

Save water, monitor upstream water levels, proactively maintain operations to catch peak hours, catch floods, and not let the reservoir overflow, causing water waste.

Mr. Vu Anh Tai, Member of the Board of Members of the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) delivered a congratulatory speech to NEDI3.

At the closing ceremony, Mr. Le Hong Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of NEDI3 Company pointed out the difficulties and advantages that have been achieved during the past time. On this occasion, Mr. Son also thanked all agencies, departments and organizations that have always supported and accompanied the Company during the past time.

Attending and speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Anh Tai, Member of the Board of Members of the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) congratulated the achievements that NEDI3 has achieved in the past 20 years since its establishment. On behalf of EVNNPC, Mr. Tai expressed his thanks to the local government of Yen Bai province for always accompanying and supporting NEDI3 in particular and the electricity industry in general.

Mr. Tai assessed that, overcoming a difficult year 2023, NEDI3 did well in financial work, ensuring safety for workers. In 2024, the North will continue to have difficulties with water resources. Therefore, small hydropower plants will be an important solution for electricity in the North.

Mr. Tai also pointed out the things that need to be overcome for 2024, NEDI3 needs to take many measures to ensure the power supply. Accordingly, it is necessary to maintain maintenance, ensure smooth and safe operation, maintain power output; strictly comply with the law in the field of environment and operational safety; arrange a reasonable workforce, increase income for workers; save costs, and make reasonable repairs to ensure operation as well as profits for the company.
