Lao Cai seeks outstanding digital technology products to participate in Make in Vietnam 2025

The “Make in Vietnam” Digital Technology Product Award is an intellectual playground, held annually since 2020 and has affirmed its reputation. The purpose of the award is to honor typical digital technology products with creativity and high practical application, demonstrating the Vietnamese people's aspiration to master technology.

In 2025, the award will continue to be hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology , focusing on finding products that bring practical efficiency and make practical contributions to the national digital transformation process.

In Lao Cai, the Department of Science and Technology has proactively issued a document requesting departments, branches, People's Committees at all levels, and telecommunications and digital technology enterprises to review, select, and introduce products to participate in the award.

Nominated products must meet strict criteria, including being highly applicable, bringing clear socio-economic value, and contributing to promoting the building of digital government, digital economy, and digital society at the local level.

Diversify applications based on local advantages

With its own advantages in resources, tourism and specialty agriculture, the need for digital transformation in Lao Cai is very diverse and closely linked to the province's characteristics.

In the tourism sector , Lao Cai focuses on building a smart tourism ecosystem in key areas such as Sa Pa, Bac Ha, and Y Ty. These applications include digital maps and tourism data portals, aiming to enhance the experience for tourists.

For agriculture , the province is promoting the application of IoT (Internet of Things), blockchain and e-commerce, opening up a direction for sustainable development, linking technology with indigenous values.

In border trade , thanks to the advantages of Lao Cai - Ha Khau international border gate, digital solutions for administrative procedures, logistics and electronic payments have been applied, contributing to improving the efficiency of import and export activities.

In addition, the province also promotes the development of digital government and smart cities through many management software, online public services and environmental monitoring systems, affirming its determination to better serve people and businesses.

According to the Department of Science and Technology of Lao Cai province, typical digital technology products participating in the "Make in Vietnam" award will be introduced and promoted at the national level. This will contribute to enhancing the reputation and brand of the owner.
