In the joyful atmosphere towards the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025-2030, all the streets and villages of the capital are bright with flags, banners and slogans. Confidence and expectation spread in every eye and smile of the people.

Continue to care about agriculture and rural areas

These days, the road to Doi Dung village (My Duc commune) is always full of Party flags and national flags to welcome the 18th Congress of Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025 - 2023. The cadres, party members and local people that we met all clearly felt the significance of the Congress, a broad political activity, arousing confidence, responsibility and expectations for the new development path of the Capital.

Mr. Cao Van Soan (91 years old, 63 years of Party membership) emotionally shared: “I am happy to witness the dramatic changes in the Capital over the past years. I hope the Congress will elect comrades with enough virtue and talent to lead the Party, government and people into a new era; continue to care for the people's lives, especially in mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas.”

Sharing the same sentiment, many party members said that the resolution of the 17th Congress has truly come into life, promoting people's strength, strengthening trust in the Party, making the capital "more innovative and humane than ever". The trust, aspiration and responsibility of the people today are the great driving force for Hanoi to firmly step into the new stage of development.

In Thien Loc commune, Ms. Lai Thi Vong excitedly said that she is very interested in this Hanoi City Party Congress. “We expect the Congress to issue a substantive resolution, close to the grassroots situation. Thien Loc is facing many challenges in the development process, the traffic infrastructure is still not synchronized, many roads are degraded; flooding still occurs when it rains heavily; site clearance for projects is still slow, causing difficulties for people's lives. Therefore, we hope that the city will have breakthrough policies, prioritizing investment resources for rural areas like Thien Loc,” Ms. Vong said.

In Dan Phuong commune, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee Nguyen Thi Hien expressed her confidence and expectations for a term of innovation and creativity, worthy of the position of the thousand-year-old capital...

In Minh Chau island commune, these days, throughout the villages, the national flag is flying brightly, the village roads are cleaned and beautified, showing the people's belief and excitement towards the city's important political event.

That joy is even more complete when bus route 20ATC (Nhon - National Highway 32 - Minh Chau) has just officially come into operation. Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam, a son of the island commune living in Tu Son (Bac Ninh) shared: "With this bus route, we feel closer to the capital. Every week I go back to my hometown, I see my hometown changing every day, electricity - roads - schools - stations are spacious, people's lives are clearly better. We believe that the upcoming Congress will continue to have policies to help Minh Chau develop even faster"...

Completing urban infrastructure

Along with the rural areas, the atmosphere welcoming the Congress in the wards was also bustling. In Duong Noi ward, all the streets, such as: Phan Hien, Le Quang Dao, Le Trong Tan, Nguyen Thanh Binh, Le Van Luong..., especially the areas of Party headquarters, government, businesses, schools were decorated with bright red flags, banners, and slogans.

Talking to reporters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, many cadres, party members and residents of Duong Noi ward expressed their belief in the 18th Congress for development not only in the next 5 years but also as a direction for the next stages.

Mr. Tran Van Cuong, Head of Kien Quyet residential group (Duong Noi ward) believes that the correct decisions with strategic vision set forth by the Congress will be the "compass" for the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital to join hands and unite, realizing the aspiration to build the Capital to become increasingly prosperous, happy, civilized and modern.

Records in Phu Dien ward show the enthusiastic and enthusiastic atmosphere during the Congress days.
