Entering the final match day of Nam A Bank Vietnam Masters 2025, taking place at Royal Long An Golf & Country Club, with a total score of -12 strokes in hand, Nguyen Tuan Anh was only 1 stroke behind the leading golfer from Thailand, Sarut Vongchaisit. However, for most of the round, the 16-year-old talent could not put significant pressure on his opponent. Meanwhile, Vongchaisit played extremely well, scoring 4 birdies after the first 9 holes to increase the gap.

It was not until hole 13 that Tuan Anh really “woke up”, scoring 4 birdies in the last 6 holes to finish the round with 68 strokes (-4), thereby raising the total score after three rounds to -16. However, this late effort was still not enough to catch up with Vongchaisit. Although the Thai golfer bogeyed at hole 16, he still managed to score 2 more birdies in the second half to close the round with 67 strokes (-5), winning the overall score with a total score of -18.

At the age of 25, Sarut Vongchaisit had a brilliant week, highlighted by a record-breaking opening round of 61 (-11), thereby completing a convincing wire-to-wire victory. This was also the first ADT (Asian Development Tour) title of his career, helping Vongchaisit rise to the top 6 of the season rankings, opening up the opportunity to own a 2026 Asian Tour membership card.

As for Tuan Anh, although he has not been crowned, his impressive performance at the Nam A Bank Vietnam Masters 2025 once again proves the remarkable maturity of the young Vietnamese golfer. This achievement will certainly help him score points in the eyes of the National Golf Team Coaching Board, heading towards the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, where Vietnam still has two undetermined spots. Tuan Anh will have to compete with top names like Nguyen Anh Minh and Le Khanh Hung to be in the official squad, alongside two faces who have already won spots, Nguyen Trong Hoang and Ho Anh Huy.
