National Golf Champion Nguyen Tuan Anh returns with great spirit at Vietnam Masters 2025

TPO - After failing to make the cut in the 2024 season, Nguyen Tuan Anh returned to the Vietnam Masters this year with brilliant form and an impressive series of domestic and international titles, promising to bring a breakthrough performance at the pinnacle tournament of Vietnamese professional golf.

In the 2024 season, when the Vietnam Masters is co-organized for the first time on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) system, Tuan Anh cannot pass the cut.

But after just one year, this young golfer has made great strides, affirming his leading position in Vietnamese golf with a series of impressive achievements: VGA Junior Tour 3rd Leg Championship, Faldo Series Asia Grand Final, Vietnam Junior Open, National Golf Championship; won the Best Amateur title at the All Thailand Golf Tour, and the Thailand Amateur Open 2025 Championship - a victory that helped him make a big splash on the regional golf map.

Along with Nguyen Tuan Anh, Nguyen Trong Hoang - the 2025 National Amateur Men's Champion (Vietnam Amateur Open) also participated in this year's tournament. The victory at VAO 2025 not only affirmed Trong Hoang's talent but also helped him win a prestigious ticket to the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand at the end of the year.

In the group of Vietnamese professional golfers, familiar names such as Nguyen Nhat Long, Tang Nhon Phu and Doan Van Dinh continue to be the hope. They will compete with experienced international golfers of VGA Tour such as Park Sang Ho (Vietnam Masters 2019 runner-up), Joel Troy and Brian Jung, promising to create a dramatic and quality tournament.

Last year, only 4 out of 34 Vietnamese golfers including Nguyen Anh Minh, Le Khanh Hung, Nguyen Nhat Long and Nguyen Tuan Kiet passed the qualifying round, showing the difficulty and fierce competition of ADT.

However, with a larger, younger and more carefully prepared force, experts expect the 2025 season to witness strong progress for Vietnamese golf, possibly even entering the group competing for the championship.

Vietnam Masters 2025 takes place from October 8-10 at Royal Long An Golf & Country Club, bringing together 138 golfers, including 38 Vietnamese representatives. The tournament, part of the Asian Development Tour (ADT), has an attractive prize fund of 90,000 USD.
