The young golfer from Vung Tau had an impressive start with two rounds of 69-70, achieving a total score of (-5) and taking the lead. Although the final round was not really favorable when Duc Khang shot 77 strokes (+5), the total even par score after 54 holes was still enough for Duc Khang to maintain the top position with a gap of 5 strokes compared to his opponents.
This is the first international victory in Duc Khang's career, and at the same time affirms the remarkable maturity of this young talent.
In 2025, Duc Khang continuously left his mark with 3rd place in the U13 men's group of Vietnam Junior Open and especially the victory at VJD Leg 5 - Dalat Amateur Open, an achievement that helped him officially appear on the World Amateur Rankings (WAGR).

Besides Duc Khang, other Vietnamese representatives also performed impressively in Thailand. In the High School Boys (14-18 years old) category, Nguyen Trong Hoang finished in the top 10 with a total score of -3 (7th place), while Pham The Nam achieved a total of -1 (T8). Tran The Bao finished with +4 strokes (15th place) and Ha Nam Khanh scored +17 (T31).
In the High School Girls (14-18 years old) category, Anna Le also finished the tournament in the top 10 with a total score of +4 (T7). The duo Nguyen Vu Hoang Anh and Than Bao Nghi both had a score of +9, sharing the T13 position.
In particular, this tournament is of great significance to Nguyen Trong Hoang and Anna Le, as both will return to Siam Country Club Rolling Hills next December to compete at the 33rd SEA Games.
Having real-life experience on the SEA Games field right before the regional event will be a valuable preparation step, helping the two young golfers learn many lessons, perfect their playing style and aim for good results for the Vietnamese sports delegation.
