Da Nang Publishing House won 3 National Book Awards for the 7th time - 2024

At the 7th National Book Awards Ceremony - 2024 jointly organized by the Central Propaganda Department, Ministry of Information and Communications , Vietnam Publishing Association, Vietnam Television last weekend, the Organizing Committee awarded 59 Awards for 58 books/book sets, including: 3 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 21 C prizes, 21 Consolation prizes, 4 Readers' Favorite Book prizes to authors with winning works. Of which, Da Nang Publishing House had 3 winning works, including 2 C prizes, 1 Consolation prize.

Representative of Da Nang Publishing House and translator Nguyen Manh Son received the C prize for the work "Vietnamese History seen from source documents".

The two works that won the C prize were “Vietnamese History from Source Documents” by author Chen Ching Ho (Tran Kinh Hoa) compiled and translated by Nguyen Manh Son; “Why Do We Love” by Hien Trang in association with Phan Le and Friendr LLC. The Encouragement Prize went to “The Evolution of Knowledge” by author Jurgen Renn translated by Tran Trong Hai Minh, introduced and edited by Nguyen Xuan Xanh, in association with Phan Le and Friendr LLC.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 7th National Book Award - 2024 has the participation of 51/57 publishers, an increase of 10 publishers compared to the 6th award, with 372 titles/book sets, including 455 books (60 more titles/book sets, 20 books compared to the 6th award). The categories selected by the Final Jury for awards are in six fields: Politics - Economics; Social Sciences and Humanities; Natural Sciences and Technology; Culture, Literature and Arts; Children; Books loved by readers. In which, "Books loved by readers" is a new category added to the award structure this year.
