Bright spot of economic development

After 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, with the close leadership and direction of the Central Committee, the attention and support of ministries, branches, especially the entire Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in the province, they have promoted revolutionary traditions, opportunities, advantages, overcome difficulties and challenges, united, determined, and strived to achieve important and comprehensive results in all fields, especially the economic field.

During the 2020-2025 term, Dak Lak province has always received attention, leadership and direction from the Central Government.

The economies of the two provinces of Dak Lak and Phu Yen (before the merger) maintained a fairly good growth rate, and the economic scale was increasingly expanding . The average GRDP growth rate (at comparable prices) in the 2021-2025 period reached about 6.24%/year, of which Dak Lak reached 6.31%/year; Phu Yen reached 6.1%/year, higher than the national average.

All three sectors have had quite good growth compared to the previous period, in which the bright spot is the industrial sector with an average growth rate of 10.95%/year, contributing 1.35 percentage points to the GRDP growth rate; the service sector with an average growth rate of 6.22%, contributing 2.68 percentage points to the GRDP growth rate .

A wind power project was invested, constructed and put into operation in Dak Lak province.

Total product at current prices in 5 years reached about 913,014 billion VND, an average increase of 11.8%/year; in 2025 it is expected to reach 230,662 billion VND, 1.75 times higher than in 2020.

With stable growth, the proportion of the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector in GRDP increased from 32.99% in 2020 to about 34.52% in 2025. The industrial and construction sector shifted positively, its proportion in the economy increased from 19.28% in 2020 to about 21.76% in 2025. Due to the strong impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the contribution of the service sector decreased from 43% in 2020 to about 39.9% in 2025.

During the 2020-2025 term, Dak Lak province attracted many urban projects.

Total social investment capital in 5 years is about 302,638 billion VND, accounting for 33% of GRDP at current prices. The province has attracted many strategic projects, creating momentum for socio-economic development, notably projects in the fields of renewable energy, processing industry, housing, high-end resorts...

The agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors have developed quite rapidly in a high-quality and sustainable direction; playing a supporting role in maintaining the growth rate and expanding the economic scale of the province. The average growth rate of the agricultural sector in the period 2021-2025 is 5.24%/year.

Processing, manufacturing and renewable energy industries have developed rapidly; construction activities have achieved many positive results. Processing and post-harvest preservation industries have been given special attention. Renewable energy has developed in the right direction, becoming a bright spot in the province's industrial development.

Industrial zones and clusters have been gradually invested and completed, contributing to creating favorable conditions for attracting businesses to invest in the province. Traffic infrastructure has been focused on investment from many capital sources, many key national, inter-regional, inter-provincial and intra-provincial projects have been invested, in which the most prominent is the Khanh Hoa-Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1 with a total length of about 117.5km connecting Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces.

Many businesses have proactively innovated and improved their management and operational capacity, making an important contribution to promoting local socio-economic development.

The project is invested in the scale of an expressway with a design speed of 80km/h - 100km/h; phase 1 is invested in the scale of 4 limited lanes, roadbed width of 17m. The project has a total investment of 21,935 billion VND, currently being accelerated, expected to be put into operation in 2026, increasingly better meeting the needs of travel and transportation in and out of the province.

The total number of newly registered enterprises in the past 5 years is about 9,400; many enterprises have proactively innovated, improved their management and operational capacity, actively participated in solving employment, ensuring social security, and significantly contributed to promoting local socio-economic development.

Expanding foreign relations and strengthening regional connectivity

The province's foreign economic activities have been proactively and actively implemented, gradually expanding investment cooperation relations with many new partners. Cooperation with domestic localities has also been expanded, contributing to promoting technology transfer, scientific research, information exchange, cultural exchange, trade promotion, and socio-economic development of the province.

Cooperation activities for the development of the Central Highlands, North Central and Central Coast regions according to Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo and cooperation with neighboring regions are focused on implementation, strengthening the connection space, promoting the potential and advantages of each locality and supporting each other for mutual development.

Dak Lak province awarded a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to Indian enterprises.

The province focuses on and actively participates in the implementation of inter-regional tasks implemented by the Regional Coordination Council, especially in proposing key inter-regional project contents in regional planning.

The linkage activities mainly focus on the fields of tourism, health and investment, initially bringing positive results, contributing to the socio-economic development of each locality, in which Dak Lak develops dynamically, deserving the position of the center of the Central Highlands region .

According to comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, to achieve the above important results, in the 2020-2025 term, the Provincial Party Committee has always received the attention and support of the Central Government; the coordination and creation of favorable conditions to help develop together from provinces and cities across the country.

The major orientations and solutions stated in the Documents of the 13th National Party Congress and the policies of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, etc., are the important basis and orientations to create favorable conditions for the leadership and direction of the Party Committee to successfully implement the targets, goals and tasks set out by the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.
