Female entrepreneurs join hands for the community

From the early days of just a Women Entrepreneurs Club with a few dozen members, Phu Yen Women Entrepreneurs Association has now truly become a strong "common home" with nearly 100 female business owners participating. Here, they not only share management experiences and expand connections, develop businesses, but also join hands to plan and organize many charity programs, sharing love towards the community.

With the desire not only to develop their businesses, but also to spread positive values and contribute to taking care of community life, female entrepreneurs have together carried out many practical activities, bringing joy to hundreds of people in difficult circumstances.

Phu Yen Women Entrepreneurs Association gives gifts to poor students overcoming difficulties in the locality.

Over the past years, the total fund mobilized and contributed by the association to coordination programs and community social activities is more than 1 billion VND. From this source, the association has built many houses of love for poor women; given gifts to policy beneficiaries, women and children in difficult circumstances. The association also sponsored 5 orphans and children in special circumstances, supporting each child with 6 million VND/year; at the same time, organized the Tet Charity program for people in coastal villages and many other social security activities spread throughout the localities.

In addition, the Phu Yen Women Entrepreneurs Association also established a Women Start-up Support Fund with a capital of 400 million VND. This fund has helped many disadvantaged women at the grassroots level to have the conditions to borrow capital to do business, gradually stabilize their lives, and escape poverty through their own labor.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, President of Phu Yen Women Entrepreneurs Association shared: “We consider every volunteer activity, every act of sharing with the community as the responsibility and sentiment of entrepreneurs attached to their homeland. We want to contribute to making life around us better, so that women and poor people feel that they are not alone.”

The valuable point in the charity activities of Phu Yen Women Entrepreneurs Association is not only in the material value, but also in the proactive, close and practical way of doing things. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, the association does not do charity following the trend, but carefully studies each case, coordinates with units and localities to support the right needs, the right circumstances, so that they can stand up on their own. Thanks to that way of doing things, the association's activities do not stop at giving, but also open up opportunities for recipients to confidently start their lives over.

Ms. Pham Thi Tuong Lai, Director of Tropical Hotel, as well as many female entrepreneurs, shared that it is the volunteer trips that help them understand more deeply about life and the value of sharing. After each trip to poor rural areas, they return with more motivation to work, not only to develop their business, but also to have the conditions to continue helping those in difficult circumstances in life.
