On the morning of October 16, Mr. Nguyen Van Hiep, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Loc Commune, Hue City, said that he was working with functional forces to inspect areas severely flooded by heavy rain.
According to Mr. Hiep, heavy rains lasting from last night to this morning caused the water level in the rivers to rise rapidly, flooding many roads. In particular, floodwaters from the Bach Ma mountain range poured into the Khe Su stream, posing a potential safety risk.
