At around 4 p.m., a 40-year-old man was driving a four-seater car with a Binh Duong license plate on Highway 743C towards Ong Bo Bridge and the 550 overpass in Di An City. When he reached the Cuu Long intersection in Dong An 3 Quarter, Binh Hoa Ward, the car hit a series of motorbikes waiting at the red light ahead.

Three motorbikes were hit by the car and thrown off. One victim got stuck on the hood of the moving car and fell onto the road. Without stopping, the car continued to speed forward and hit a dump truck parked nearby. The car then collided with two motorbikes, flying onto the sidewalk and a tree, only stopping when it hit a hard divider and then turning sideways in the middle of the road. The incident happened so suddenly that passersby panicked.

The accident injured three people and they were taken to the emergency room. Three motorbikes and two cars were damaged. The car that caused the accident was deformed and crushed. The incident happened during rush hour, causing traffic congestion in the area. Police arrived to regulate and move the vehicles. The driver who caused the accident was taken to the police station to give a statement.
