After 5 months of launching, the Organizing Committee of the second Technology with heart Award received an outstanding number of works: 1,482 works in three categories: single photo, photo series and video .
The Jury acknowledged that there were still certain difficulties, but the authors and products contributed to affirming the most important value of the Award.
The topic is not easy, but still creates a breakthrough in quantity
Commenting on the award-winning works, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Dong - President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, commented that the works adhered to the rules and highly appreciated the diversity and breadth of the Award categories.
Specifically, it is the diversity in honoring the subjects in operating and enjoying technology: From children to the elderly, workers in many fields, religious believers, vulnerable groups such as ethnic minorities, people with disabilities...
The President of the Association of Photographic Artists also appreciated the authors and groups of authors, including many professional and amateur photographers, who have fully and promptly captured precious moments and emotions, showing the value and important role of technology in life, helping them change their lives for the better.

Chairman of the Jury Council, journalist Nguyen Thang - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Pictorial Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) affirmed that the Technology from the Heart Award is a photo and video contest with a rather difficult theme, especially for the photo contestants.
“In the first year of the competition, just reading the contest theme made many authors feel difficult and discouraged. However, if you read the Rules carefully and consider how to express the intended topic, it is not too difficult,” commented Mr. Nguyen Thang. The organizing committee also found that the types of topics were not really diverse, due to certain limitations in approaching technology topics in the country's fields.
However, the total number of works in the single photo, photo series and video categories is much higher than the first time: Single photos are 3 times more, photo series and video are twice as many.

The jury representative also commented that the quality of the entries had also improved significantly because the authors had learned from their first competition. In addition, Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation had helped to make the topics more open and clear, so the authors also followed closely to discover the topics and had better ways of expressing them.
“The winning works this time are certainly more outstanding than last time, because the authors have learned from the previous contest in discovering the theme, expressing the theme and sticking more closely to the contest criteria,” said photographer and journalist Nguyen Thang.
After 3 rounds of judging, the 2025 Technology from the Heart Award Council decided to award prizes to the 32 best works. The prize structure includes 1 First Prize (50 million VND), 2 Second Prizes (40 million VND), 3 Third Prizes (30 million VND) and 5 Encouragement Prizes (10 million VND) in each category. This year, there are only 4 Encouragement Prizes for single photos.
Continue to accompany the National Digital Transformation
Talking about the judging process, journalist Hoang Duc Long (member of the Jury, Head of Multimedia Information Production Department, Digital Content and Communications Center of Vietnam News Agency) said that the council based on 3 main criteria: Content value, creative quality and effectiveness in conveying emotions.
“A highly appreciated work needs to both reflect the spirit of “Technology from the heart”, which means useful and humane technology, and have creative storytelling that is close and easy to reach the audience.
The jury prioritizes works that demonstrate positive influence, optimism and a desire to contribute to society through technology, instead of simply showing off modernity or technology,” journalist Hoang Duc Long shared.
President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists Tran Thi Thu Dong commented that the award is very good and meaningful, but could attract more authors and works in the future.
Giving her opinion to the organizers, she believes that the contest will create even more positive impacts, especially through expanding its scale and attracting more community participation in the future: "Hopefully in the next season, the organizers can convey the contest theme more widely and clearly, and have clearer guidelines for professional and amateur photographers."

Through the winning entries, the Jury and the Awards have contributed to conveying an important message: Technology must serve life practically, bring about clear results, people must benefit and technology must bring value to serve the country's development, serving the people is above all, first of all, continuing to accompany the National Digital Transformation./.
