Approving the election results and dismissal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province

Kinhtedothi - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed decisions approving the election results and dismissal of the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province for the 2021-2026 term.

The Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet.

At the 25th thematic session, the People's Council of Son La province, term XV, on the morning of November 7, 2024, elected Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of Son La Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, with an absolute number of votes.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet was born in 1977, in Yen My town, Yen My district, Hung Yen province; professional qualifications: Master of Commerce, Business Administration; advanced political theory level.

Before being transferred to Son La, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Economic Committee of the 15th National Assembly.

On November 1, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet was mobilized and appointed by the Secretariat to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee.

According to Decision No. 1415QD-TTg dated November 16, 2024, approving the results of dismissal from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, to take on a new assignment.

Previously, the Politburo approved comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province, to hold the position of Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh was born in 1969, has a PhD in Economics. He has held many positions in different units such as Vice Chairman, Chairman of Phu Yen District People's Committee; Secretary of Phu Yen District Party Committee; Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Son La province; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee.
