Ukrainian troops withdraw from Volchansk

According to Kienthucnet, Ukraine's GUR special forces were forced to withdraw from the area of the synthetic plant in Volchansk due to losses from FAB-500 bombs and ODAB-1500 thermobaric bombs dropped by Russia.

Ukraine announced that GRU special forces, under the Military Intelligence Service of Ukraine, completely recaptured the synthetic plant located southwest of Volchansk city, pushed all remaining Russian troops out of their positions, and completely recaptured Volchansk.

The city of Volchansk has been the scene of fierce fighting between Russian and Ukrainian troops since May. After fierce counterattacks, the only position the Russian Army still holds in the Volchansk urban area is the general factory, according to some information, it is also called the building materials factory.

Vào ngày 25/9, Ukraine thông báo, lực lượng đặc biệt GRU, trực thuộc Cơ quan Tình báo Quân đội Ukraine, đã tái chiếm hoàn toàn nhà máy tổng hợp nằm ở phía tây nam thành phố Volchansk, đánh bật toàn bộ quân Nga còn lại ra khỏi vị trí, tái chiếm hoàn toàn Volchansk.
On September 25, Ukraine announced that GRU special forces, part of the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Service, had completely recaptured Volchansk.

In the complex plant area, there are more than 30 high-rise buildings, the terrain is complex, easy to defend but difficult to attack. Therefore, the Russian army relied on the factory buildings to defend against the continuous attacks of the Ukrainian army.

After three months of fierce fighting, the plant was almost completely leveled, but the ruins of the destroyed buildings still served as a base for defense operations, so the two sides continued to fight fiercely in the rubble. However, in the face of continuous Ukrainian attacks, the Russians secretly withdrew from the plant area at the end of September.

The “elite” Ukrainian military intelligence units, after recapturing the plant, immediately became targets for Russian air strikes. As a result, they were unable to withstand the Russian bombing raids of various types and suffered heavy losses, so they had to withdraw from the plant.

According to descriptions by military bloggers posted on social networking sites, the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a series of attacks on the plant, almost leveling the fortifications with FAB-500 bombs and even ODAB-1500 thermobaric bombs.

After being unable to withstand Russian artillery fire attacks, Ukrainian special forces were forced to withdraw far from the plant area, and Russian troops once again occupied the Volchansk synthetic plant without any effort.

As reported earlier, at the end of September, the Russian units, which had been fighting for several months, almost surrounded, retreated from the plant, taking with them all the wounded and the bodies of the dead. In Kiev, the recapture of the plant was considered a “great victory” for the special units.

French howitzer hit Russian fire, exploded violently

According to Vietnamnet, the Russian military announced that it used an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to attack a French-made Caesar self-propelled howitzer in the Ukrainian frontline area.

RT quoted a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry saying that Moscow's reconnaissance forces discovered the Caesar howitzer in a dense forest in the Sumy region, northeast of Ukraine and bordering Russia. The Russian military then deployed the Inokhodets medium and long-range attack UAV (MALE) to launch the Kh-BPLA laser-guided missile at the target.

Video released by the Russian military shows a huge explosion at the scene after the ammunition section of the French howitzer was hit by a stray fire. Several Ukrainian soldiers quickly fled the firing position after the incident.

Moscow accuses Kiev forces of actively using Western-supplied artillery systems, including Caesar self-propelled howitzers, in their cross-border offensive into Russia's Kursk region since early August.

The Russian military claims to have successfully destroyed many such weapons on its territory as well as in the neighboring Sumy region of the neighboring country, thanks to counter-artillery power as well as attacks by UAVs and missiles.

Ukraine peace summit stalled

Adviser to the Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine, Daria Zarivnaya, announced the cancellation of the second “peace summit” on Ukraine scheduled to be held next January.

The second peace summit will not take place in November. But everything that needs to be prepared is ready, ” said Daria Zarivnaya.

Ms. Zarivna added that thematic conferences are currently being held on each point of the Ukrainian leader’s “peace formula.” In particular, they will end with the adoption of a joint communique. She added that the provisions of the adopted statements will become the basis for the peace plan of the second conference on Ukraine. She believes that the summit will take place after that.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova clarified the issue of Russia's participation in the "peace summit" on Ukraine. Ms. Zakharova called the statements of Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky about "the need to strengthen Ukraine as much as possible to hold the second "peace summit" in Switzerland in 2024" an attempt to overcome wishful thinking.

Russia destroys Ukrainian self-propelled artillery in Sumy

According to Tien Phong, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the country's army continued to destroy Caesar self-propelled artillery that France provided to Ukraine to deal with Moscow's special military campaign.

Video released by the Russian Ministry of Defense shows the Caesar self-propelled gun being destroyed by a Kh-BPLA laser-guided missile, launched from an Orion medium-altitude unmanned attack aircraft.

Over the past few weeks, Russian Orion unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have made a surprise return to the battlefield. These UAVs are being used by Russian forces to conduct offensive operations deep into the rear of Ukraine.

Previously, on September 16, Russian media reported that the Orion UAV destroyed an M270 heavy rocket artillery with a Kh-BPLA laser-guided missile. On September 24, another Orion drone continued to destroy Ukrainian armored vehicles in Kursk province.
