Quang Ninh sends scouts to 'follow' disguised contract vehicles, may face criminal prosecution

On November 13, the leader of Quang Ninh Province Police said that he had directed the Traffic Police to take action after VietNamNet newspaper reported on the issue of disguised contract vehicles operating chaotically on the road.

Quang Ninh Provincial Police leaders affirmed that traffic police will be on duty on all routes where disguised contract bus companies operate inter-provincially.

In addition, Quang Ninh Provincial Police directed the Criminal Police, Public Order Police and District Police to focus on thoroughly handling bus companies with unclear contracts, picking up passengers along the way, causing disorder and insecurity. These bus companies will be strictly handled.

"This must be handled within a week, do not let it drag on. For contracted car companies that operate under false pretenses, there will be a reconnaissance force following them to consolidate evidence to be eligible for administrative and possible criminal handling," informed the leader of Quang Ninh Provincial Police.

The inspection and handling of Hoang Hai Limousine Enterprise must be carried out by the Department of Transport of Thai Binh Province.

According to Mac Duc Son, Head of the Department of Transport and Vehicle Management of Quang Ninh Department of Transport, the vehicles licensed to operate by the Quang Ninh Department of Transport are controlled and managed by the local transport sector. As for the vehicles licensed to operate by other provinces and then entering Quang Ninh province, the Department cannot control the traffic.

The detection and handling of disguised contract vehicles from other provinces entering Quang Ninh will be the responsibility of the functional forces on duty on the road.

According to records on November 11, the transport company Hoang Hai Limousine still stops and parks cars to pick up passengers along the road, directly collecting money from passengers on the trip.
