Resolutely handle violations on the land of more than 72 hectares in Phuoc Tan ward

(DN) - A land area of more than 72 hectares in Phuoc Tan ward, Dong Nai province, which was planned as a forest park, has been misused by dozens of individuals and businesses to illegally build industrial clusters for many years. In this area, about 150,000 square meters of factories have been built, violating the laws on land, construction and environment.

Faced with this situation, the Standing Committee of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee has directed relevant departments, branches and localities to urgently relocate all businesses and production facilities from the land. Although the factory owners initially wanted to extend their operation time, the authorities at all levels have been very determined to handle the situation, and at the same time regularly organize delegations to mobilize people to comply with regulations.

Mr. Do Minh Quang (manager of a factory on the above land) said: According to the province's policy as well as the mobilization of departments, branches and authorities, the factories are promoting demolition to return the land.

The land area of more than 72 hectares has a total of 48 enterprises opening factories, of which 47 cases did not fully comply with construction and land procedures. Recently, the People's Committee of Phuoc Tan Ward has stepped up propaganda and mobilization according to the motto "going to every alley, knocking on the door of every enterprise/production facility" to explain the policy of overcoming the consequences. The Ward also issued many documents to handle and clearly respond to the opinions and requests for extension of time for self-remedying of enterprises.

Thanks to this determination, as of October 18, 2025, there have been 33 cases of voluntary complete demolition of construction works. 11 cases are being dismantled, expected to be completed in October 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vuong, Vice Chairman of Phuoc Tan Ward People's Committee, said: The local government is making efforts to basically complete the handling of the forced remediation of the consequences in October 2025. The ward leaders also coordinated with the Long Thanh Electricity Management Team to handle the suspension of electricity supply to 7 cases of slow dismantling of factories that violated the commitment.

With the above efforts, it is expected that in October 2025, the work of handling and enforcing remedial measures on the land area of more than 72 hectares will be basically completed, ensuring the restoration of the land status in accordance with the direction of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province.
