
33 households with 128 people at the foot of Lang Bo mountain, Lang Bo hamlet, Son Ha commune are facing the risk of landslides. Identifying this as one of the areas with high risk of landslides if heavy rain occurs in the coming days, the local government has sent forces to the area to check the situation and propagate to the people to be ready to evacuate when requested by the local government.
Through inspection, the entire Son Ha commune of Quang Ngai province has 7 points at risk of landslides. The local government has deployed forces to closely monitor developments when heavy rains and floods occur to proactively have response plans.

Mr. Bui Van Ba, Vice Chairman of Son Ha Commune People's Committee, said: " To respond to storm No. 12 and heavy rain in the next few days, the Commune People's Committee has also established a shock force. When necessary, this force will be mobilized, the core of which is the standing militia squad, police, grassroots security and order teams and people in residential areas to promptly support the evacuation of people, helping people in landslide areas to move to other places when landslides occur to ensure safety ."
Currently, the whole Quang Ngai province has 372 points at risk of landslides, flash floods concentrated in 67 communes, potentially affecting 5,630 households/21,523 people. The focus on responding, ensuring the safety of lives and property of people in areas at risk of landslides during this flood is being paid special attention by Son Ha commune and other affected communes, promptly evacuating people from dangerous areas when heavy rains continue.
