Merging the eastern and western literature majors of Hai Phong

The conference on merging specialized sectors marks an important step in the organizational structure of specialized associations after the merger of Hai Phong and Hai Duong.

On October 11, the Executive Committee of the Hai Phong Writers Association held a conference to merge literature majors.

This is an activity to implement the resolution of the Executive Committee of the City Literature and Arts Association on perfecting the organization of specialized associations after the merger of Hai Phong and Hai Duong .

Accordingly, the specialized literature departments of the Hai Duong Provincial Literature and Arts Association (old) were officially merged into the Hai Phong Writers Association.

Vote to approve the Personnel Plan for the Executive Board of the Hai Phong Writers Association after the merger.

At the conference, delegates heard reports on the organizational structure and personnel plan of the association after the merger and exchanged experiences in the association's activities in the new period.

The conference discussed and voted to approve the plan to consolidate the personnel of the Hai Phong Writers Association Executive Committee, consisting of 14 members. The conference elected poet Dinh Thuong as Chairman of the Hai Phong Writers Association; elected 4 Vice Chairmen of the Association and 9 members of the Executive Committee.

The new Executive Committee of the Hai Phong Writers Association is expected to promote the creative tradition of artists from the two regions, contributing to building a rich literary life, improving the quality of works, stepping up promotion and affirming the position of Hai Phong literature in the cultural space of the Red River Delta.

Merging the two Fine Arts Associations of Hai Phong and Hai Duong on September 28, 2025.

Previously, on the morning of September 28, 2025, a conference was held to negotiate the merger of two branches of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and two Fine Arts Associations of Hai Phong and Hai Duong (old).
