The appointment ceremony of the new General Director of Vietravel Airlines took place this morning (October 24), after the Board of Directors approved the resignation of Mr. Vu Duc Bien for personal reasons.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai is a bachelor of National Economics University, majoring in Tourism Business Management. Mr. Hai has more than 25 years of experience in the aviation industry, having held many important positions: Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines Corporation, General Director of Cambodia Angkor Air.

Most recently, from May 24 to July 11, 2023, Mr. Hai was General Director of Bamboo Airways Joint Stock Company.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai will officially take over the executive position of Vietravel Airlines from October 24.

According to the plan, Vietravel Airlines will carry out the necessary procedures to implement the plan to issue individual shares to increase charter capital to supplement the company's business capital in the core and auxiliary business sectors. Currently, the airline's charter capital is 1,300 billion VND, this number will increase to 2,000 billion VND after the successful issuance.

Previously, the shareholders' meeting of Vietravel Airlines elected two new members of the Board of Directors for the 2022-2027 term, Mr. Philipp Rösler and Mr. Doan Hai Dang.

Specifically, Mr. Philipp Rösler - Chairman of VinaCapital Ventures International Advisory Board, former Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany, officially became an independent member of the Board of Directors for the 2022-2027 term of Vietravel Airlines on October 23.

Former German Deputy Chancellor of Vietnamese origin , Mr. Philipp Rösler, officially became an independent member of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines from October 23, as a strategic advisor to the airline in expanding its international network.
