Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Duong Anh Duc visited 2 publishing houses of Ho Chi Minh City

On October 7, comrade Duong Anh Duc, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, visited and worked with the Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House and Tre Publishing House, on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese Publishing, Printing and Book Distribution industry, October 10.

Also attending were comrade Le Van Minh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and comrade Nguyen Minh Hai, Head of the Propaganda, Press and Publishing Department, Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Working with the Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House, comrade Duong Anh Duc sent his congratulations to the Publishing House on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the industry's tradition. He expressed his wish that the Publishing House would maintain the brand it has built over the past 50 years, as the city's main publishing unit, contributing to providing good, quality publications to readers in the city and throughout the country.

Also according to the Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, currently, the Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House has basically completed the Board of Directors, so it is necessary to have a strategic orientation in the coming time regarding the book series and bookcases based on the strengths of the unit; as well as promoting the dynamic and creative role of the Publishing House's human resources team, moving towards solid transformations and strengthening the autonomy mechanism in the future.

On behalf of the Publishing House, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi, Director - Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House, expressed his thanks to the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for always closely following, paying attention, and giving specific instructions and directions to the activities of the City's publishing industry in general and Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House in particular.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi said that the Publishing House will strive to maintain its brand, unite within the group, have a clear plan and direction in the coming time to build the Publishing House as a strong and prestigious brand in the hearts of readers, contributing greatly to the general cultural and ideological activities of the City.

On the same day, comrade Duong Anh Duc led the delegation to visit and work with Tre Publishing House. Ms. Phan Thi Thu Ha, Director - Editor-in-Chief of Tre Publishing House and representatives of specialized departments welcomed the delegation.

At the meeting, Tre Publishing House reported on its operations and some outstanding results in 2025. Currently, the unit has more than 100 staff, 4 branches and publishes more than 1,000 books each year. Some of the focused book areas are politics , culture, literature, skill books and comics. Last year, the unit's revenue reached about 150 billion VND.

In October, Tre Publishing House also participated in the Frankfurt International Book Fair (Germany) with its own booth, aiming to expand international partnerships and copyright connections.

Comrade Duong Anh Duc acknowledged the proactive, creative spirit and efforts of the staff and editors of Tre Publishing House in preserving and developing publishing activities.

The Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee expressed his hope that Tre Publishing House would continue to promote its role in bringing knowledge to readers, especially the young generation, contributing to improving spiritual life and reading culture in society.
