Super cruise ship Westerdam carries 2,000 European and American tourists to Da Nang

On the morning of January 2, the Da Nang Department of Tourism organized a ceremony to welcome the first international superyacht to the city in 2024.

Accordingly, the Westerdam cruise ship carrying 2,000 passengers and 781 crew members docked at Tien Sa port (Son Tra district).

Passengers and crew mainly come from the Netherlands, UK, France, Italy, Denmark, Hungary, Canada, USA, Korea, Japan, Australia...

At the welcoming ceremony, visitors enjoyed watching lion dances and wearing Vietnamese conical hats.

During this tour to Da Nang , tourists will visit famous places of the city such as: Ngu Hanh Son scenic relic site, Linh Ung pagoda, Da Nang Cham Sculpture Museum... and enjoy local specialties.

Westerdam is a 5-star luxury cruise ship owned by Holland America Line. The ship is designed with 11 floors, 14 elevators, 3 swimming pools, and a rooftop terrace.

According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in 2023, the city will welcome a total of 22 cruise ships with 18,000 passengers.

According to the schedules of shipping lines registered with Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company, there are expected to be 45 ships with more than 40,000 passengers arriving in Da Nang in 2024.
