According to statistics from Google, Vietnam is one of the countries with the highest rate of students applying AI in the region, with 92% of students using AI to study and develop skills.
The promotion program applies to students aged 18 and over, studying at universities, colleges or academies in Vietnam. Registration period is from October 8, 2025 to December 9, 2025 via the official website https://goo.gle/freeproVN. Students need to verify their identity via SheerID, update their payment information (completely free for the first 12 months) and activate their account to use immediately.

Google AI Pro is powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google's most powerful AI model to date. In Vietnam, Google is offering this package for VND 489,000/month.
Students can use Gemini as a comprehensive learning assistant, supporting revision, test prep, writing skills, and in-depth research. The Pro plan provides access to advanced features such as Deep Research for information synthesis, NotebookLM with 5x more usage than usual, Gemini Live for voice chat, and Veo 3 in Gemini & Flow for creating videos from text or images.
Additionally, students can integrate Gemini directly into familiar apps like Gmail, Docs, Sheets to get AI-assisted editing, summarizing, and intelligent content suggestions. The Pro plan also comes with 2TB of storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos - helping to securely store learning projects, documents, and multimedia content.
Google promises not to charge any fees for the first 12 months and will send email notifications before the offer ends, ensuring users are completely proactive in renewing or canceling the service.
“We believe that giving students access to AI will help them learn more effectively, be more creative, and be more future-ready,” Google emphasized.
Previously, at the Annual Conference of the Vietnam University - College Innovation & Entrepreneurship Network (VNEI Summit 2025) on October 1, the Closing Ceremony of the 2025 Digital Talent Development Program took place, co-organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) and Google.
The program has awarded 60,000 scholarships and more than 15,000 graduates. In 2025, more than 60% of students completed the AI Essentials course. According to Mr. Do Tien Thinh, Deputy Director of NIC, this is “clear evidence of the close coordination between the public and private sectors, creating potential digital talents, contributing directly to the strong development of Vietnam's digital economy ”.
