The team's medical department reported that Mbappe had dropped from 75kg to 70kg after a serious illness. The rapid weight loss has clearly changed Mbappe's appearance and muscles, causing experts to worry about his physical condition before the next matches.

After being discharged from the hospital, Mbappé returned to the team's training area around June 19 and began individual training at the gym on June 23 in Miami.

By June 25, Mbappe was able to go out to practice with his teammates. The French superstar laughed and joked happily on the field, showing that he had almost fully recovered.

However, coach Xabi Alonso still decided to be extremely cautious about Mbappe's health. According to the latest information from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe was removed from the registration list for the match against Salzburg on the morning of June 27.

Mbappe's absence forced coach Alonso to use Gonzalo Garcia - the young player who scored in the opening match. Despite not playing very well, Real Madrid still won 4 points after 2 matches. Just a draw against Salzburg will be enough for Real Madrid to qualify.
