Transfermarkt, which tracks the market value of players around the world , has just published the latest value table for the Spanish Championship (La Liga). Notably, there is a sharp drop in the valuation of striker Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid).
The Brazilian player has dropped from 200 million euros in December 2024 to 150 million euros as of now. The reason is that Vinicius has lost his form. At the same time, his role at Real Madrid has also gradually decreased with the appearance of coach Xabi Alonso.
"Vinicius has lost some of his status since he failed to win the Ballon d'Or a year ago. His performances on the pitch have also declined," explains Blaseio, the analyst responsible for La Liga's market value.
Furthermore, with the change of coach at Real Madrid, the hierarchy within the team's squad has been reshaped. Vinicius now plays a secondary role. All of this has led to his devaluation."
Apart from Vinicius, another La Liga player whose market value has dropped significantly is Gavi. The Barcelona midfielder is now worth 40 million euros after four consecutive drops. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Real Madrid striker Franco Mastantuono has seen the biggest increase, from 20 million euros to 50 million euros.
Spanish star Lamine Yamal remains the most valuable player on the market, with a price tag of €200 million, followed by Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, each valued at €180 million.
