Strengthen measures to reduce electrical accidents

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Industry and Trade to guide and support investors of energy projects in carrying out related procedures within its functions, specialized fields and management scope; take the lead and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities to resolve procedures on power line routes of energy projects; monitor and urge power grid management and operation units in the province to conduct safety inspections of power works and safety in electricity use according to the provisions of the Electricity Law 2024 and related legal documents. In addition, urge power units to strengthen coordination and support in terms of expertise, means and human resources in the work of inspecting and handling violations of power grid corridors; coordinate with the Department of Justice to compile concise and easy-to-understand propaganda documents and leaflets on electrical safety for the People's Committees of communes and wards to use in dissemination to the people.

For communes and wards, the Provincial People's Committee directs the dissemination, propaganda and mobilization of people to comply with legal regulations on protecting the safety of power works, using electricity safely, economically and effectively; organize safety inspections in the use of electricity according to authority; preside over and coordinate with investors of power works to establish and implement plans for site clearance, relocation, resettlement, compensation for damage to land and property according to authority and scope of management; manage and protect land areas reserved for projects and safety corridors of power works. In addition, coordinate with units of power companies in the province and relevant agencies and units to strengthen safety inspections in the use of electricity, especially safety in the use of electricity for living and service purposes, guide people in managing and using electricity safely...

The Provincial People's Committee also requested the Power Transmission Company 3, Khanh Hoa Power Company and Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company to organize safety inspections of power works, safety in using electricity for production, daily life and services, especially safety inspections of electrical equipment and electrical wires after the meter under the responsibility of electricity customers; periodically every 6 months and the whole year, send inspection results to the Department of Industry and Trade for synthesis, report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Industry and Trade . The units in charge of preparing power line management records, clearly defining the scope of site clearance, migration, resettlement according to their authority and scope of management, implementing the installation of power line safety corridor markers, funding sources for site clearance, handing over records and boundary markers to localities to have a basis for developing implementation plans.

Khanh Hoa Power Company and Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to develop legal education content on electrical safety suitable for pupils and students to organize propaganda and education to raise awareness of electrical safety.
