The accident of the 239-ton fishing boat Seogyeong occurred in Yeosu City, about 320 km south of Seoul on the morning of February 9.
The South Korean Coast Guard in Yeosu is searching for the six missing crew members. The search is focused within a 5 km radius of the sunken ship, 17 km east of Habaekdo Island.

Officials found seven crew members shortly after the accident. Among the three dead was the captain. All three were South Korean citizens.
According to the Korea Herald, a fishing boat rescued a person floating unconscious near the site of the sinking.
The four rescued crew members - two Indonesians and two Vietnamese - are being transferred to Chukjeong port on Narodo Island. They suffered hypothermia but no life-threatening injuries.
Some of the six missing crew members are believed to have been inside the ship at the time of the accident, according to survivors.
The coast guard deployed divers to search, while 19 coast guard vessels, three vessels from relevant government organizations and four aircraft were also mobilized.
According to ship operators, Seogyeong disappeared from radar at around 1:41 a.m. and survivors said the ship capsized due to bad weather.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety has established a response headquarters in cooperation with the South Jeolla Provincial Government and Yeosu City Government to organize search and rescue operations and support those affected by the accident.
