(NLDO)- During the survey program, the Coast Guard Region 3 Command and other forces inspected and promoted law enforcement at sea.

On October 9, within the framework of the Program to survey and grasp the situation of coastal seas and islands in 2025 (from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh Long province), the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 coordinated with localities and functional forces to inspect a number of cargo ships on their journey.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 8, the authorities also inspected the activities of a number of fishing vessels in the northeastern waters of Con Dao Special Zone (HCMC). The inspection team was led by Colonel Cao Xuan Quan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command.

This is a regular activity to correctly assess the law compliance status of fishermen, and at the same time promptly take measures to combat and prevent all types of crimes and violations.

On the route, when discovering a number of fishing boats operating, the working group lowered two working boats, carrying task forces and local authorities to directly approach fishing boats TV 94967 TS and TV 94968 TS of Tra Vinh province operating in the area.

The authorities worked closely with the captain and crew to check the legal documents and records of the fishing vessel and crew, including: Fishing license, fishing vessel registration, crew list, maritime safety regulations and communication equipment.

This inspection is part of the joint effort of the Coast Guard Region 3 to tighten discipline at sea, especially in the context of increasing attention to regulations on combating IUU fishing. Thereby, it demonstrates the determination of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command in protecting aquatic resources, maintaining security and order at sea and supporting fishermen to go offshore safely and legally.

In addition to the inspection, the working group also presented national flags and necessities to fishermen on fishing vessels, and at the same time propagated and reminded fishermen to strictly comply with legal regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

After the inspection, the working group continued their journey to Bach Ho mine and inspected activities at sea throughout the journey. Before that, the group had given gifts and worked in Con Dao Special Zone as well as surveyed and grasped the situation in the areas of Cua Soai Rap, Cua Tieu, Cua Dai, Cua Ham Luong, Cua Cung Hau, Cua Dinh An.
