At the meeting, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son expressed his joy and honor to welcome the delegation of Hoai Bac city leaders to visit and learn about the potential, strengths and investment environment of Tay Ninh. He emphasized that the visit is an important occasion for the two localities to strengthen exchanges, orient cooperation, and open up new prospects in economic development, trade, tourism and cultural and social exchange.
Introducing the province in general, Mr. Huynh Van Son said that after the merger, Tay Ninh is strongly promoting its geo-economic advantages and strategic location, located on the East-West economic corridor, adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City - the most dynamic economic center of the country. The province is the gateway connecting the Southeast with the Mekong Delta, and is also an important transit point in international trade, especially through the Moc Bai and Xa Mat border gates.
Currently, Tay Ninh focuses on attracting investment in the fields of processing industry, renewable energy, logistics infrastructure, high-tech agriculture and eco-tourism. In addition, the province also owns many famous landscapes such as Ba Den Mountain, Dau Tieng Lake, and a system of unique cultural relics - attractive destinations for domestic and foreign tourists.
Expressing his impression of Tay Ninh's dynamic development, Hoai Bac City Party Secretary Vuong Hoa Dong thanked the provincial leaders for their warm and warm welcome to the delegation. He said that the two localities have many similarities in terms of geographical location and development orientation, and can enhance comprehensive exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, education and culture.
Mr. Vuong Hoa Dong proposed that in the coming time, the two sides should promote the exchange of delegations of officials and businesses to share management experience, promote investment and expand trade cooperation - especially in the fields of agricultural products and processing industry; thereby, bringing typical products of each locality to each other's market.
Huaibei City is located in the north of Anhui Province (China), with an area of 2,741 km², a population of nearly 1.93 million people, including three districts and one county. This is an urban area rich in historical and cultural traditions, notable for the Six-Character Grand Canal, the Huaihai Campaign Command Headquarters and many famous figures in Chinese history. From an important coal energy center, Huaibei is transforming strongly with high-tech industrial zones, new materials, mechanics and green energy. In 2024, Huaibei's GDP will reach 140.59 billion yuan, an increase of 4%; affirming its role as a green, civilized and livable urban area, expanding international cooperation, including friendly relations with Tay Ninh province.
The above-mentioned visit and working session demonstrates the goodwill, trust and desire for extensive cooperation of the People's Government of Hoai Bac city towards Tay Ninh province; is a practical step to contribute to promoting the Vietnam - China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a community of shared future between Vietnam and China, and at the same time opening up prospects for effective and sustainable cooperation between Tay Ninh and Hoai Bac in the coming time.
