On August 13 (local time), Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance on the New Heights podcast hosted by her boyfriend Travis Kelce and brother Jason Kelce.

During the chat, Taylor Swift officially announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl , scheduled to be released on October 3.

The track list was revealed on the official website, with the album's closing track, which is also the title track, featuring Espresso singer Sabrina Carpenter.

Taylor Swift describes The Life of a Showgirl as her most deeply personal project yet.

"I wrote these songs while on tour in Europe. Performing, flying to Sweden and back, I was physically exhausted but creatively exploding," Taylor Swift recounted.
