The year 2024 marked an important turning point in the lives of goalkeeper Dang Van Lam and fitness coach Bui Thi Yen Xuan when the two officially got married after 6 years together. Before that, although always appearing together at big and small events, the two still kept their love affair secret, not ostentatious but extremely strong.

The couple once made many people admire their long-standing love, going through many challenges due to geographical distance when Van Lam played in many different countries. However, that love is still strong, the clearest proof was in early 2024, when the number one goalkeeper of the Vietnamese team officially brought his parents to meet Yen Xuan's family. Not long after that, a cozy wedding was held in Nha Trang, a place with a poetic blue sea, witnessing the sacred moment of the two.

Sharing with Channel 14 , when asked about life after marriage, Yen Xuan said there were not many big changes, but the most important thing is that the two understand each other more and more.

"Actually, getting married doesn't make me love him more or less, but it helps me understand the value of my partner more. There are things I didn't notice before, but when we live together, I appreciate him more. Van Lam is a very responsible person, always putting family first," she said.

In addition to taking care of her small family, Yen Xuan continues to pursue her passion for fitness. She completed a big project in 2024 - opening her own gym, where she can both work and spread her love for sports and a healthy lifestyle to more people: "Having a job that I am passionate about helps me maintain balance in life. Being the wife of a professional player, I understand that everyone needs their own space and career, so that they can accompany each other for a long time without losing their own identity."

Celebrating Tet at her husband's house for the first time, Yen Xuan could not hide her nervousness but also her excitement. When asked about her feelings when entering the role of a new daughter-in-law, she frankly shared: "I don't think that being a daughter-in-law means having to force myself to please anyone. I just have to be sincere. My husband's family is very comfortable and loves me. I don't feel any distance or pressure at all."

With her husband's family having a mix of Vietnamese and Russian cultures, Van Lam's family's Tet also has many interesting features. However, Yen Xuan still integrates very quickly. She shared: "My mother-in-law is very thoughtful. She always tries to make everyone in the family feel most comfortable. This year I have the opportunity to help her prepare the Tet tray, it feels very special."

Talking about the customs of Tet, she excitedly recounted the most memorable memory: "Mr. Lam really likes to give lucky money to everyone. He goes around the house giving out lucky money, everyone gets a share. It's funny, I teased him to give lucky money to his wife, so he immediately took out a red envelope, but there was no money in it, just a small piece of paper saying 'Wishing my wife happiness'. But I still felt very happy!"

She also said that this year's Tet is more special because of the many different customs, but she still feels extremely comfortable. For her, the most important thing is the feeling of family reunion, sharing warm meals and creating memorable memories together.

Ending 2024 with many highlights, Yen Xuan could not hide her happiness when looking back at what she had achieved. Besides a stable career and a happy marriage, Van Lam and Yen Xuan are also preparing to welcome a new member to their family. Their first child is a boy.

She revealed that both husband and wife love children and she is in the final months of pregnancy. To best prepare for motherhood, Yen Xuan has learned a lot about nutrition and exercise regimens suitable for pregnancy, while maintaining the most optimistic and comfortable spirit.

Yen Xuan shared that she does not put too much pressure on herself but just wants to enjoy every moment of life. For her, a meaningful new year does not lie in how many achievements she has made, but more importantly, living happily with the people she loves.
