Visit and give gifts to Agent Orange victims in especially difficult circumstances

On the afternoon of August 4, on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the Agent Orange Disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961 - August 10, 2025), the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin visited and presented gifts to Agent Orange victims in especially difficult circumstances in Ha Giang wards 1 and 2.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to two families of Agent Orange victims suffering from serious illnesses and in especially difficult circumstances, including: Nguyen Thi Van, residential group 5 Minh Khai, Ha Giang 2 ward and Dam Thanh Tieng, Lam Dong village, Ha Giang 1 ward.

At the families visited, the leaders of the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin inquired about their health, shared their difficulties in life and expressed deep sympathy for the losses and disadvantages that the victims and their relatives had to endure. At the same time, the Association also encouraged the families to continue to rise up, maintain faith and optimism, overcome their circumstances together and integrate into the community.

According to the report of the specialized agency, the whole province currently has nearly 4,000 people infected or suspected of being infected with Agent Orange; of which over 2,000 people receive monthly allowances. On this occasion, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin presented 22 gifts, including 22 wheelchairs, to seriously ill victims; and 2 houses to Agent Orange victims in difficult circumstances.

This is an annual activity with profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the affection and responsibility of the Association and the community towards those affected by chemical warfare, contributing to easing the pain of Agent Orange, spreading love and humanity in society.
