It is forecasted that by 7:00 p.m. the same day, the tropical depression will enter the mountainous region of the North and continue to weaken into a low pressure area.
According to meteorological experts, the risk of strong winds on land has decreased significantly, but heavy rain is still a worrying factor. From noon and afternoon on October 6, provinces such as Quang Ninh, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen are likely to experience moderate to heavy rain. Particularly in Hanoi , although there was little rain and it was cool this morning, from this evening, the rain tends to increase, there may be heavy rain on the night of October 6 to the morning of October 7.
The highest forecast rainfall in Hanoi and some northeastern provinces could reach 300mm – a decrease of about 100mm compared to previous assessments.

Due to the unusual developments of the post-storm circulation, many localities such as Hanoi, Hai Phong , Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh... have allowed millions of students to stay home from school on October 6 to ensure safety. However, as of noon of the same day, only a few places such as Hai Phong, Lang Son, Quang Ninh recorded moderate to heavy rain in a short period of time; most other areas are still cloudy, no rain or light rain.

Authorities continue to closely monitor weather developments and advise people not to be subjective, to guard against the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous and midland areas and localized flooding in urban areas if heavy rain lasts through the night.
