Thanh Hoa builds road connecting to Mai Son Expressway - National Highway 45

The road is nearly 1.6 km long, with a total investment of 818 billion VND, and will connect Dong Xuan intersection of Mai Son Expressway - National Highway 45 with Thanh Hoa city center.

Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just approved the road project from Dong Xuan intersection, Dong Son district to Thanh Hoa city. The roadbed width is 25 m, speed is 60 km/h, implemented in the period 2023-2026. The project is invested by the Provincial Department of Transport, funded by the state budget and other legally mobilized sources.

Mr. Nguyen Van Luu, Head of the Economic Infrastructure Department of Dong Son district, said that the new route, together with Dong Thanh - Dong Minh road, the main urban axis of Dong Son district and East-West avenue, will form an axis connecting Dong Xuan intersection with Thanh Hoa city center and neighboring districts.

The project is expected to contribute to reducing the load on National Highways 45 and 47, while maximizing the advantages of traffic connection with the North-South Expressway.

After the Department of Transport completes the design steps, cross-section and road boundaries, the locality will urgently clear the land for construction.
