TWICE criticized for bad live singing

K-pop girl group TWICE had a vibrant performance at the Victoria's Secret show with two songs, Strategy and This is For. However, besides praise for their charisma and stage energy, the group faced a wave of controversy surrounding their live singing ability.

Due to the absence of many members, only Nayeon, Momo, Jihyo and Tzuyu performed. Most of the audience thought that the group's live performance did not meet expectations, even "distracting attention from the models".

During the rehearsal, I could still sing, but when it came time for the official performance, my voice was almost hoarse and I couldn't make a sound. I drank honey tea and tried many different methods, but the situation still didn't improve.

The controversy surrounding TWICE reminds many people of the case of Lisa (BlackPink), the first K-pop artist to perform at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2024. At that time, Lisa also received mixed opinions, being praised for her seductive style, but at the same time being criticized for being "too sexy" compared to her previous image.
