Prime Minister renamed the University of Engineering and Logistics of the People's Public Security

(Dan Tri) - The Prime Minister changed the name of the People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics to the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology.

Accordingly, from October 17, the People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics (CAND) changed its name to the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology .

The University of Engineering and Logistics of the People's Public Security was formerly the People's Public Security High Schools under the Ministry of the Interior. On September 8, 1984, the Ministry of the Interior (now the Ministry of Public Security ) reorganized the system of these People's Public Security High Schools, forming the High School of Information and Communications and the High School of Technical Vocational Skills III.

On October 14, 1993, the two schools merged into the Police Technical High School, later renamed the Police Technical High School.

On October 21, 2010, on the basis of upgrading the Police Technical College, the Ministry of Public Security established the Police Technical and Logistics University. After 15 years, the school has a new name: Academy of Security Engineering and Technology.

According to information on the school's website, the school will have the international transaction name Tran Quoc Hoan Academy.

The Academy of Security Engineering and Technology has two training facilities in Hoa Lac commune, Hanoi and Thuan Thanh ward, Bac Ninh.

The school's mission is to train high-quality human resources in the fields of technical expertise, science, technology and logistics of the People's Public Security Forces, meeting the requirements of building a clean, strong, revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern People's Public Security Forces.

Recently, the school has built a project to establish a Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy and is preparing to launch this new training major.

The school was also approved by the Prime Minister to be included in the List of public higher education institutions that train human resources for the semiconductor industry.
