On the morning of October 18, Cuu Long University held a ceremony to receive the Second Class Labor Medal and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the school's founding.

Cuu Long University was established in 2000, the first private university in the Mekong Delta region. After 25 years of construction and development, the school has gradually built a solid foundation in terms of facilities, teaching staff, and advanced training programs to fulfill its mission of training human resources for the region, the country, and the world.

At the ceremony, Meritorious Teacher, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu - Party Secretary, Principal of Cuu Long University - gave a speech reviewing the 25-year tradition of building and developing the school.

Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu emphasized that with the spirit of determination, responsibility and innovation, the school has constantly strived to overcome all difficulties to rise up. After 25 years of construction and development, Cuu Long University today has achieved many achievements and has made strong changes. Currently, the school enrolls and trains 38 university majors, with over 90 multi-disciplinary majors, from economics, engineering, medicine - pharmacy, social sciences - humanities, information technology, languages, high-tech agriculture... The school has 11 master's training majors and 3 first-level specialized training majors, 4 doctoral majors.

The school's staff and lecturers include over 1,200 teachers with academic titles and degrees, including over 70 professors, associate professors, 241 PhDs, 447 masters, nearly 300 doctors, level I and level II specialists...

The school has awarded degrees to more than 42,000 bachelors, engineers and nearly 1,200 masters, many of whom are taking on important leadership roles, experts, entrepreneurs, and researchers at home and abroad...

In recognition of the achievements and contributions of Cuu Long University over 25 years of construction and development, the President has decided to award the Second Class Labor Medal to Cuu Long University for its outstanding achievements in scientific research and human resource training, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports awarded the title of excellent development unit to Cuu Long University for its contributions in training human resources for Laos from 2015 to present and on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the school's founding.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh awarded certificates of merit to the collective and individuals of Cuu Long University.

Dr. Santisouk Simmalavong, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications of Laos, presented the award to Cuu Long University.

The Lao Ministry of Information and Communications awarded Cuu Long University for its outstanding achievements in contributing to human resource development through scholarships, organizing training and seminars to improve the capacity of officials and civil servants of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The People's Committee of Vinh Long province awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 10 individuals who have made positive contributions in applying science and technology, training and developing human resources, contributing to the socio-economic development of Vinh Long province.
