In an era where knowledge becomes the most valuable asset, understanding and protecting intellectual property has become a vital factor for individuals, businesses and national economies .
Vietnam is moving quickly on the journey of digital transformation, science and technology development and innovation, but reality shows that there are still many people who do not clearly understand the value of intellectual property, or do not know how to turn creative knowledge into profitable assets and create competitive advantages.
The launch of L2Pro Vietnam - a non-profit online intellectual property training platform developed by Qualcomm, marks an important step forward in popularizing knowledge and improving the capacity to protect creative assets in Vietnam.
Not only a learning tool, this platform is also a "bridge" to help Vietnamese students, researchers, startups and businesses gain deeper awareness of the importance of intellectual property in sustainable development and international integration.

L2Pro (short for "Learn to Protect") is a training program that has been successfully implemented in the US, India, Taiwan (China) and Africa. In Vietnam, the program focuses on students, researchers, innovators and startups to help the community protect and maximize creative value, turning ideas into strategic assets.
The program provides comprehensive knowledge, from patent protection, copyright application, trademark management, to combining intellectual property with business strategy and commercializing innovative products. Through this, learners not only understand the legal aspects but also know how to exploit the economic value of intellectual property - a skill that is lacking in many Vietnamese startups and businesses.
L2Pro Vietnam is built on a multi-dimensional cooperation platform between components in the ecosystem from state management agencies, legal consulting firms and startups to ensure professional quality and practical applicability.
This platform will provide core knowledge such as: Protecting creative assets through patents; Applying copyright to protect inventions; Optimizing brand building and management; Combining intellectual property and business strategy; Exploiting value from research and development activities through intellectual property; Promoting commercialization of innovative products.
According to Mr. Ram Krishnan - Senior Director of Technology Copyright, Qualcomm: "Vietnam has great potential, and to turn that potential into reality, it needs an innovative economy. L2Pro was born to help students and young entrepreneurs understand how to protect and exploit intellectual property, promoting business development."

In fact, in the innovation ecosystem, many brilliant Vietnamese ideas have had to stop halfway or been copied and appropriated due to lack of understanding of intellectual property rights.
Therefore, intellectual property education is not only a matter of law, but also a foundation for the development of a knowledge-based economy. When creators understand the value of intellectual products, they can turn them into profits, into brands, and further into a driving force for national growth.
In developed countries, intellectual property is considered the "input material" of the innovative economy. Vietnam, with the goal of becoming a country with an advanced digital economy in the region by 2035, needs to promote intellectual property education right from the classroom, laboratory to start-up businesses.

Intellectual property education on platforms like L2Pro Vietnam is a reminder of the importance of knowledge in the new era. Innovation is only truly sustainable when it is linked to understanding, protecting and legally exploiting intellectual property.
According to experts, when every Vietnamese student, inventor, and business understands that "creativity is gold, and intellectual property is a safe," we will truly be closer to the goal of building an innovative, self-reliant, and prosperous economy in the new era./.
