This morning (June 11), the Central Public Security Party Committee coordinated with the Central Party Office and the Central Organizing Committee to hold a ceremony to announce the Politburo's Decision appointing Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, member of the Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security , to hold the position of Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On June 6, 2024, at the 7th Session, the 15th National Assembly approved the appointment of Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, to the position of Minister of Public Security. On the same day, the Politburo issued Decision No. 1299 appointing Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang to hold the position of Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong stated that after more than 40 years of working in the People's Public Security Forces, more than 26 years in the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang is a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots, held many positions, and been assigned many important responsibilities in the Public Security sector. No matter what position or task he is assigned, he always strives to train, strive, overcome difficulties, and complete the assigned tasks well and excellently.

The Standing Secretariat believes that with his strong political stance, rich experience, strategic vision, and sharp, sensitive, decisive leadership, direction, and management methods, daring to think, speak, do, and take responsibility, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang will stand firm in the face of all difficulties and challenges and excellently complete the assigned tasks.

In particular, promoting the glorious tradition of the heroic People's Public Security force, further promoting its role as a strategic advisory body of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat in the field of ensuring security and order.

Fully perform the duties and powers of the Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee according to the Working Regulations of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.

Minister Luong Tam Quang promised that in his new position, he will unite and work with the Central Public Security Party Committee to continue to inherit and promote glorious traditions, seriously and effectively perform assigned duties and tasks.

Maintain strict implementation of the Political Platform, Party Charter, and Party principles, especially the principle of democratic centralism; uphold the responsibility of setting examples, promote the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility; and devote all our heart and strength to the common cause.

Minister Luong Tam Quang hopes to always receive the attention, leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the close support and coordination of the Party Central Office, Party committees, the Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security; and key leaders of the Public Security force so that he can fulfill his assigned responsibilities.
