Receiving 48 Vietnamese citizens through Tinh Bien International Border Gate

On October 18, at Tinh Bien International Border Gate (Tinh Bien Ward, An Giang Province), Tinh Bien International Border Gate Border Guard Station coordinated with relevant units to receive 48 Vietnamese citizens returned by the Cambodian government.

Received 48 citizens returning from Cambodia.

Among the 48 citizens received, there are 6 women and 42 men, who left for Cambodia at different times and through different border gates; their permanent residence is in the following provinces and cities: Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Lang Son, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Ho Chi Minh City and some western provinces.

The citizens were received by the competent authorities, had their initial health checked and the case verified according to regulations. The Tinh Bien International Border Guard Station handed over the citizens to the competent authorities of the provinces and cities to receive and take them to their localities for further verification and handling.

Recently, the situation of citizens illegally leaving the country to work in Cambodia has remained complicated, posing many risks of insecurity and disorder, fraud, or becoming victims of human trafficking rings.

To ensure safety, people who need to work, study or visit relatives abroad need to fully comply with the prescribed procedures.

Authorities advise people not to listen to the enticements of brokers to work illegally; and not to leave the country on their own through trails or openings to avoid unnecessary risks.

When detecting illegal border crossing activities, people need to immediately report to authorities for timely handling.
