In a warm atmosphere of comradeship and camaraderie, the delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Defense Intelligence sector and the 15 years of establishment and development of the An Giang Province Defense Intelligence Liaison Committee.
Upholding the tradition of “Loyalty to the country, filial piety to the people”, over the past 15 years, the An Giang Provincial Defense Intelligence Liaison Committee has always been united, cohesive, and fulfilled its assigned tasks well. The Liaison Committee has gathered 271 members, of which 140 comrades are still active, maintaining regular activities, contributing to strengthening comradeship and teamwork.
The work of caring for members' lives and charity activities is maintained regularly. From 2011 to 2022, 8 medical examinations, free medicine distribution and gifts were organized for more than 2,000 people in base areas, border areas, remote areas, with a total value of over 370 million VND; support for building and repairing 7 Charity houses, giving Tet gifts and visiting members in difficulty, with a total cost of hundreds of millions of VND.
The Liaison Committee also established a twinning relationship with the Traditional Liaison Committee of the Regional Military Intelligence Department - Military Region 7, enhancing exchanges and ties between generations of Defense Intelligence officers.
At the meeting, the An Giang Provincial Defense Intelligence Liaison Committee expressed gratitude to the groups and individuals who have accompanied and supported them over the years, such as Venerable Pham Thi Bach Lien (Huyen Trang); Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Huan (Ut Le), Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, along with religious dignitaries and philanthropists.
Colonel Mai Thanh Dong, Head of the An Giang Province Defense Intelligence Liaison Committee, said: “Over 15 years of establishment and development, the An Giang Province Defense Intelligence Liaison Committee has always upheld the spirit of solidarity and comradeship, properly implemented the policies and instructions of superiors, and actively contributed to political and social work in the locality. In the coming time, we will continue to promote the tradition of the heroic Vietnam Defense Intelligence sector, strive to fulfill assigned tasks, take good care of members, and carry out many social security activities…”.
