Hanoi is ready to mobilize more than 17,000 people and 2,000 vehicles to fight storm No. 11.
Responding to storm No. 11, Hanoi city has proactively mobilized 17,000 police and military officers and soldiers, and more than 2,000 vehicles. 624 pumping stations with a total flow of about 4.33 million cubic meters per hour will be operated at maximum capacity to lower the lake water level, drain flooding and protect agricultural production.
Regarding the dike system, Hanoi has reviewed 5 key vulnerable points at the city level and 26 key points at the commune level, deploying a total force of over 8,500 people and thousands of cubic meters of materials, steel baskets, barges, and motorbikes, ready to handle incidents in the first hour, ensuring safety of the works during the storm.
